at the thought of it All of it As the school's shadow poured over the bus Fred shuddered This school is so spooky Fred said Spooky Luisa said No way It's gorgeous Fred rolled his eyes Of course you'd say that Fred said Princesses love their castles And of course you're scared Luisa said Frankensteins run from theirs Fred cracked a smile as Luisa leaned over to peek out the window I mean look how the ivy creeps and crawls up the bricks Luisa said And those weird windows I wonder what's in that attic 2
Fred craned his neck to see the tiny windows at the top of the school's central tower One window hung open just slightly on its hinges Another sported a spiderweb crack across it Another seemed covered by a sheer curtain that suddenly moved A body appeared and disappeared behind it as quickly as it arrived Fred jumped Did you see that Fred asked See what Drake said popping up from the seat in front of them It looked like like Fred wanted to say like someone peeking out But Fred already had enough to be nervous about today The last thing he needed was to worry about people peeping out of a creepy school attic 3
