Li'l Rip Haywire Adventures: Escape from Camp Cooties
4 MISSION JOURNAL DAY ONE SOMEWHERE IN THE JUNGLE OF TANGO BOOM BANGO You might think it’s crazy that I’m writing in a journal while trekking through a mosquito infested squishy jungle Or maybe you’re wondering what a twelve-year-old kid would even be doing in such a lethally sticky place But I’m no ordinary kid my name is Rip Haywire and I’m a soldier of fortune That means I spend most of my time hunting for the hidden treasure of lost civilizations It beats school right
And that’s the reason why I have to write in this stupid journal Since I don’t go to school my dad thinks I need to do something to exercise my mind as if finding lost treasure was a piece of cake But my dad says all adventurers need to know how to write and if I want to get a machete for Christmas I better get cracking And boy do I want that machete for Christmas Hacking jungle vines with a Junior Scout knife is the pits 5
OK OK maybe my dad is the real soldier of fortune and he brings me along because he can’t afford day care But I’ve grown to become an indispensable part of Dad’s missions thanks to his training Once I learned to walk it got a lot easier After that I learned how to disarm booby traps Dad said my small hands are good for this task My dad is the best adventurer ever He’s got all the quali ties that you need to be an awesome soldier of fortune 6
